As Walt Disney said to Ms. Travers in Saving Mr. Banks "That Mouse, He's family". Disney Characters are family to me too. Every song, laughter, or heartbreak effect me just as much as they did the characters. I was baby sitting last night and I, once I put the boy to bed, thought long and hard about which of the Disney movies were the most like family. I love all Disney movies and it is one of my many life goals to see all of them. I have quite a few to go. So here are my top 10 Disney Movies. Please remember that this is my opinion, and you can have a different one!
1: Mary Poppins and Saving Mr. Banks: These two movies are both masterpieces. The perfect amount of comedy, heartbreak, and love are in both of these films. If anyone has not seen either of these drop whatever you are doing, grab a box of tissues, and go see it. I had heard some rumors that Saving Mr. Banks was not good before I saw it, but it was one of the best movies I have ever seen.
2: Lion King and Tangled: Another tie. These two movies are perfect, that is the only way I can describe them. I know that many people don't like Lion King.... I do not understand how you cannot be a fan of this movie. It changed my life. Tangled, unlike Lion King, has less tragedy in it and more happiness. So "Here Comes the Smolder".
3: The Incredibles: What else can you say? The title explains it all. It is truly incredible.
4: Sleeping Beauty: A classic, but a good one. To me Snow White was scary, and is even now... I mean a guy tries to kill her in the woods! Sleeping Beauty is less scary but still has a wonderful plot and a very handsome prince.
5: Frozen: This movie is the first movie to have 2 featured princesses in it. I love this movie so much and the only reason that it isn't higher on my list is because I thought that after the Hans spook the movie was very predictable.
6: Monsters Inc.: BOO! This movie is amazing and I have cried every time I see this movie... and there is not that much to cry about. No one dies! It is amazing and I want to have a personal Sully and Mike.
7: Ratatouille: Ummmm do I have to explain why this is on my list of favorites? This movie surprised me so much. I love this because Disney made a movie where the main animal cannot talk to humans, and the language barrier is overcome by something other than speech.
8: The Jungle Book: Baloo is my favorite character in this movie. But I love every animal in it. This movie's music is some of the best Disney music in my opinion!!!
I love Disney so much and all these movies truly are family, and I hope that, if you have not seen any of these movies, you will go see them!
XOXO
